Sinupret causes thinning of the mucus giving the effect of reducing swelling of the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDosage: adults: orally, usually 3 times a day 50 drops, which corresponds to 3.1 ml in a single dose. School children (from 6 years): orally, usually 3 times a day 25 drops, which corresponds to 1.55 ml in a single dose. In special cases, the dose can be doubled. Sinupret oral drops can be administered after dissolving in a small amount of liquid or without dissolving. During use, it is recommended to take an increased amount of fluids. Keep the bottle upright for ease of dosing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eComposition: 100g of drops contains: active substances: 29g of gentian root extract, primrose flower with calyx, sorrel herb, elderberry flower, verbena herb in a ratio of 1:3:3:3:3 extracted with ethanol (59% v\/v). The other ingredients are: purified water.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eContraindications: allergy (hypersensitivity) to gentian root, primrose flower or calyx, sorrel herb, elderberry flower, verbena herb or any of the other ingredients of Sinupret; stomach ulcers, duodenal ulcers or hyperacidity of the stomach.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWarnings and precautions: if symptoms last longer than 7 - 14 days or recur periodically as a doctor should be consulted. The drug contains 19% v\/v ethanol (alcohol). It can be harmful for people addicted to alcohol. This should be taken into account in pregnant or breast-feeding women and high-risk groups such as those with liver disease, epilepsy, trauma or brain disease. Due to the alcohol content, the drug should not be used in children under 6 years of age.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDrug interactions: Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other drugs, including those obtained without a prescription. Concomitant use of other expectorants is not recommended.
